Because it is a glass when it fall down it will be broken

Answer: The ground then applies equal and opposite force on glass due to which the glass breaks down in pieces. The force of the ground on the bottom side of the glass coupled with the force of the top of the glass, pushing downward on the rest of the glass creates an internal stress that causes the glass to shatter.
