Forests help us address climate change by reducing the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. They do this by absorbing carbon dioxide (CO2), using the carbon (C) to produce sugars for tree growth and releasing the oxygen (O2) back into the air. ... The forests and woodlands in Britain have a role to play too.

FOREST ARE NECESSARY BCZ OF THE FOLLOEING REASONS

1. THEY PERFORM VARIOUS FUNCTIONS .

2. PLANTS RELEASE OXYGEN THAT WE BREATHE AND ABSORD CARBON DIOXIDE WHICH WE EXHALE

3.THE ROOTS OF THE PLANTS BIND THE SOIL WHICH RESULTS IN CONTROL OF SOIL EROSION

4. FORESTS PROVIDE US TIMBER FOR FURNITURE, FUEL, WOOD , FOODER , MEDICINAL PLANTS AND HERBS , LAC, HONEY, GUM ETC.

5. FORESTS ARE NATURAL HABITAT OF WILDLIFE
