Blended cement is obtained by mixing Ordinary Portland Cement with mineral admixtures and additives such as fly ash, blast furnace slg or silica fumes. Blended cements have many advantages as compared to the common OPC category cement. They conserve water, energy and are more water resistant(meaning that they are more durable). They are also deemed to cause less pollution as the ordinary cement.
