⭕ Mechanism of opening and closing of stoma :-

⭕ The two guard cells are attached to each other by both the ends (through the margins of outer wall).

⭕ When the guard cells become turgid, it get swell , outer wall bends outwards because it is thin and elastic.✔️✔️

⭕ The inner wall of guard cell is thick and non elastic. It does not bend out.Due to bending of outer wall of guard cells the stomatal aperture opens.

⭕ When the guard cells become flaccid, the tension on the walls is released:- the stomatal aperture closes.❤️
