When the sound waves reaches pinna(outer ear) the pinna catches the waves and transfer to middle ear and through middle ear it reaches inner ear it reaches ear drum and we hears sound.

The sound waves enters the ears through our pinna, from there it travels through our auditory canal and straightly strikes the eardrum. Now the eardrum starts vibrating and through malleus, incus, stapes it travels to the oval window and then to the round window and then in the membranous labyrinth. The sound now travels to the cochlea and through the auditory nerve, the impulse goes to brain by sensory neuron and comes back by motor neuron.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!
