Answer:You can build small scale fields, like one meter by one meter and put soil in them. Depending on how many you can build, and you can always change the scale, you can show the impact of being good stewards of the land has on the water quality. Have one plot with bear soil, another plot with sod, and pour water on both when tilted and collect the runoff. If the plot has like 1/3 meter depth you could then place plastic over the surface, simulating pavement, or homes and compare the volume of runoff from that compared to one with sod. I think visually seeing what impact urbanization has on the environment is a good idea, and that age level is ideal.
