A change in speed, or a change in direction, or a change in both speed and direction means that the object has a change in velocity.

* Understand that in physics this means if you turn a corner, even if your speed is constant, your velocity changes. Often the velocity of an object is not constant.

  1. when the object changes it's direction. ex.a car moves in a circular path.
  2. when the object changes it's speed.ex.a car moving in a straight path by changing its speed
  3. when the object changes both direction and speed.ex. a car moves in a circular path with changing speed.
