NSEJS Exam is the first exam that gives a taste of the difficulty level of the true Olympiads out there. I had prepared for the NSEJS last year, and qualified with a total of approximately 150 marks.

Firstly, you must have a firm grip on Standard 10 CBSE Science as well as Maths as it the absolute basic necessity for this olympiad.

After this, it would be better to get Books for IJSO from any coaching institute. I personally prefer Resonance as the books are easy to understand and it can take you a long way. I, too, prepared from Resonance Material only.

Be sure to concentrate on Biology, as many take Biology lightly in NSEJS. It is the one subject where you can answer questions quickly and thus save time for Physics and Chemistry numericals.

In the olympiad, the questions of different subjects are mixed together and so, I would advise you to solve the problems in order and not search for the problems of a particular subject. Also, some questions will be purely theoretical and some will be application based and numericals. Do the theoretical ones ASAP as time is also a major factor in this olympiad.

Be sure to manage your time properly and set aside at least 1 hour for filling the OMR Sheet and attempting the difficult problems. Filling the bubbles usually takes about half an hour, while quickly rechecking the questions.

Use intelligent guessing and dimensional analysis in the options as many times an extremely difficult problem is made easy by these.

In the end, study regularly and try to make the best of the limited time available to you( a difficult task, I know). Relax and be confident.

Best of Luck!

Answer:

Explanation:

First get to know the topics which you will need to prepare for NSEJS. First complete your 9th and 10th class syllabus and then move to some topics of 11th and 12th class. In Physics do mechanics well, electrodynamics is also important, but don't do it in too detail. Thermodynamics won't come.
