Area of trapezium= 96m²

Area of trapezium=( sum of parallel sides/2)Height

∴ \: \: \: \: \: \: ( \frac{9m + b2}{2} ) \times 8m = 96 {m}^{2} \\ \frac{9m + b2 }{2} = \frac{96m^{2}}{8m} \\ \frac{9m + b2 }{2} = 12m \\9m + b2 = 24m \\ b2 = 24m - 9m = 15m
