How do instantaneous speed and averge speed differ?

instantaneous speed is the exact speed that a body is moving at,at a given instant in the time.it is a true measure of the body's motion for that point in time....

an average speed tells you how much distance a body covers during a certain time span, but it doesn't tell you about the actual motion that occurred....

Instantaneous speed

1. Instantaneous speed is the distance travelled by a body per unit time at a particular point of time (or in an infinitesimally small intervel of time)

2. Instantaneous speed of a moving object cannot be calculated by using the formula s/t because, here 't' should be immeasurably small tenting to zero

Average speed

1. Average speed is the average distance travelled by a body per unit time over a centain measurable interval of time
