How do Lenticels help in respiration in plants?

Plants require lenticels and stomata for the process of respiration.

Lenticels and stomata are present in the stems and leaves of the plant that helps them to easily carry out the exchange of gases with the atmosphere.

They respire carbon dioxide and release oxygen into the environment that is then taken by humans.

Lenticels carry out the gaseous exchange between the atmosphere and the internal tissue of the stem by allowing the entry of oxygen and release of carbon dioxide.
