⭐⭐⬅️ Answer ➡️➡️➡️➡️

Excretion gets rid of carbon dioxide, water, and other, possibly harmful, substances from your body. Your lungs excrete carbon dioxide as you breathe out, your kidneys filter out nasties to produce urine, removing nitrogen waste from your body, and your skin sheds excess salt through sweat.

Aerobic respiration of cells produces carbon-dioxide and water.

It is also produced as a by-product in various cellular activities.

These gases (water as water vapour) are released via lungs.

Gaseous interchange of oxygen and carbon-dioxide occurs at the alveoli of the lungs. This exchange is a simple diffusion process.

Then, carbon-dioxide is exhaled to the outside environment via the nostrils.

Thus, lungs play an important role of excretion.
