Lymphocytes are another type of white blood cell. They recognise proteins on the surface of pathogens called antigens .The antibodies causepathogens to stick together and makeit easier for phagocytes to engulf them. Some pathogens produce toxins which make you feel ill.

Both lymphocytes and phagocytes are wbc's ...

Lymphocytes have antigens on the surface of the cell .... and release antibodies once the pathogen had been clamped onto the cell ... these antibodies kiss the pathogens ...

phagocytes on the other hand ..... engulf the pathogen once it is near to the cell .... once it engulfs the pathogens ... certain enzymes are released which kills it ...
