Magnet can loose thier magnetic properties by the following ways :
a. By striking them head with hammer.
b. By heating them.
c. By making other magnet with the existing magnet.
In all above cases magnet only looses it's charges. Thus, it is said that not to use a magnet excessively as it will losse it's magnetic properties.
