matter change its state by being cool or by heated such as change of water into ice called freezing. change of ice into water is called melting. change of water into gas or steam.

Matter changes various states by undergoing different process like sublimation , condensation , evaporation.These can simply be changed by increasing or decreasing it's temperature.
