How do metal carbonates react with acid..???

Salt, carbon dioxide (CO2) and water(H2O) is formed

When an acid reacts with a metal carbonate ,
a salt , H2O(water), CO2(carbon dioxide) are evolved.

For example,

Na2CO3 + 2HCl ------> 2NaCl + H2O + CO2.
