For example, each human body hosts 10 microorganisms for every human cell, and these microbes contribute to digestion, produce vitamin K, promote development of the immune system, and detoxify harmful chemicals. And, of course, microbes are essential to making many foods we enjoy, such as bread, cheese, and wine.

Not only they harm, but microorganisms also help us in many ways such as:-

  • Lactobacillus bacteria helps us to get curd from milk.
  • Penicillium Fungus is used in making Penicillin drug. In same way, many organisms are used in making vaccines and medicines.
  • Yeast is used in making cakes. Yeast releases carbon dioxide which makes the dough to rise up.
  • Mushrooms are also fungus but they are eaten as nutritious food in many places.
  • Many microorganisms feed on the dead and decaying matter and help to decompose in order to keep the earth clean.
  • In our body also, many microorganisms contribute to support many biochemical processes taking place in our body.
