Most of the people who don't live near lakes and rivers get water from following sources:-

1. Some people have their personal boring pipes through which they get water by the help of hand pumps or motor pump.

2. In several cities, government has given the facilities of underground pipelines to their citizens. People have connections to these pipelines and pay bill for the water they use.

3. In remote areas, water is supplied by the water tankers.
