Non - green plants  such as fungi or other bacteria obtains there food by fedding on other material or bacteria such as viruses requires a host to get the food for their nourishment.

The  Fungi or the bacteria like viruses  are categorized as Heterotrophic mode Of Nutrition which means they all get their nourishment with other organism.
