Hy,
There are two modes of reproduction of organisms. They are-
1. Asexual reproduction - The process does not involves gametes. The types of asexual reproduction are- budding, fragmentation, binary fission
2. Sexual reproduction - the process involves formation of gametes. Male gametes are known as Sperms and female gametes are known as ova. Both of these fertilise and a zygote is formed. Later, zygote is converted to embryo and then to foetus.
