Answer:

Plants obtain nitrogen through a natural process. ... Bacteria in the soil convert the nitrogen to ammonium and nitrate, which is taken up by the plants by a process of nitrogen fixation. All plants need nitrogen to make amino acids, proteins and DNA, but the nitrogen in the atmosphere is not in a form that they can use.

Hey

Here is your answer.....

Nitrogen is required for plants to build proteins . Although 78% of air is nitrogen but plants cannot use directly.

Some legumes such as pea ,clover ,and peanuts contain small swelling part in there root called root nodules These nodules contain Rhizombium bacteria . The bacteria change atmospheric nitrogen into compounds of the nitrogen such as nitrates and ammonia .The enriches the soil with vital nitrogen nutrients its make fertile .

The Rhizobium bacteria and the some plant live in symbiotic relationship .

The plant uses the oxygen compound converted by the bacteria to produce protein .

The plant absorb nitrogenous compound from the soil and water and converted into plant protein....
