how do plants and animals help each other in exchange of gases in the atmosphere

As plants let out oxygen, animals take in oxygen . And when animals let out carbon-di-oxide plants use it this is how the gases are exchanged

plants give out oxygen during day time which is taken by plants and they inturn give out carbon dioxide used by plants for photosynthesis
