plants obtain food by the process of photosynthesis ..which is a anabolic process and the end product is sucrose which upon action by diastase converts into glucose and fructose which thru glycolysis and krebs cycle forms ATP and NADPH2 which is the byproduct of light and dark rxn that are the two phases of photosynthesis

Plants prepare their own food by the process of photosynthesis. In the presence of sunlight and the pigment chlorophyll, raw materials like water, carbon dioxide the plant prepares it's own food. The two phases of photosynthesis are light reaction and dark reaction.Light reaction happens in the presence of sunlight and dark reaction takes place in the absence of sunlight.
