The DNA contains genes, which passes the instruction to produce and deliver proteins for the body, to synthesise.

The DNA holds codes and instructions, which are relayed for important cell functions. The gene determines characteristics of an organism such as metabolism, immunity, behaviour etc. For this it controls protein production and distribution.

Proteins are of different types like structural proteins, messenger proteins and enzymes. They are of several different shapes and sizes.
