state or regional parties contribute in strengthening federalism and democracy in india as:
◆ a country has got many local issues that a national government can't handle alone. for this there must be constituent units.
◆ these help in reducing the burden of national government and also help people especially the marginalised groups and women to raise their voice.
◆ regional and state parties ensure that the national government doesn't use the powers unnecessarily. which makes the country even more democratic and contributes to strengthening of federalism.
