Not only do they absorb carbon dioxide, provide shade, prevent erosion, and look darn pretty, they can also helpmuffle the sound of your neighbor's weed whacker. Think of them as big, leafy, air-purifying, oxygen-producing, white noise machines.

Hello!
> The trees not only provide shelter, food and fodder. They also helps in minimising the noise pollution.
The trees which are thick, leafy and tall help in absorbing the sound waves coming from the vehicles and by roads too. A properly buffered collection of tress across the roads helps in reducing more and more sound waves of about 50 percent prescribed by human ear. These trees help in absorbing the sound waves. Hence they reduce noise pollution.
