Answer:

It would be easier to answer how humans don’t use natural resources. But here are some various ways.

1.  Oxygen, nitrogen, atmosphere, we breath it. But we also extract most of the gases to be used in industry.

2. H2O, we drink it. Water plants, cool things, cook things, heat things, hundreds of ways.

3.  Trees become lumber, cooking fuel, shade, oxygen generation, Carbon sequestration, entertainment, and hundreds more.

4.  Vegetables and fruits are essential parts of our diet.

5.  Root plants like potatoes, etc.

6.  Plants make clothing, dyes, drugs, and decoration.

7.  Dead plants and animals become coal and petroleum, natural gas.

8.  The oceans and lakes provide seafoods and recreation. They can also provide energy.

9.  The sun gives us life, energy, and helps the plants grow.

10.  Minerals are extracted from the planet for industrial and decoration purposes.

11. Carbon and petroleum products are used in everything we make.

12. Jeez, do you really want a comprehensive list? This could take all day and we would not be done. And I’ve got other things to do today.
