small farmers don't have enough land or don't have surplus amount of money to arrange for the capital to feed their family and themselves so they do other jobs or work as farm labourer's in the fields of big farmers to feed their family members as well as themselves.

Large and medium farmers dont have to struggle much for finding labour because the landless workers and small farmers are always in search of such work so to get some extra earnings. The large and medium farmers just have to fix the wage for them depending upon the type of work and the competition between workers for the work.
