The trees in temperate deciduous forests shed their leaves in the dry season to conserve water.As a result this tells us about one of the adaptation in the temperate deciduous forests.

deciduous forest see four distinct Seasons - spring summer autumn and winter. in autumn the colour of leaves on trees changes during winter which is usually dry the trees in this forest lose their leaves and almost bare .
