How do the Paleolithic Age Hunters defend themselves from Wild Animals?

The Paleolithic man was weak in comparison of animals like lion, tiger or elephant. He had no sharp teeth, claws. So early man used to protect himself from wild animals . It was not safe for him to hunt alone. So he hunted in groups . The group was small and helped each other.
