We know that there are many gases in the atmosphere. We the humans extract the oxygen from among them to respire. This oxygen travels to our nostrils by passing the wind pipe and finally reaches to our lungs. The lungs then mixes this oxygen with our blood and lets it go to all the parts of our body for their proper functioning. Carbon dioxide is the waste gas that is produced when carbon is combined with oxygen as part of the body's energy-making processes. The lungs and respiratory system allow oxygen in the air to be taken into the body, while also enabling the body to get rid of carbon dioxide in the air breathed out. In this ways the Carbon Dioxide Gas is exhaled from our body.
This is called RESPIRATION.
