resources is a source that is generate form nature. the resources satisfy the wants because is the will no resource like - chair , table, food( that we cook) etc. we can't survive in this world. some examples for reading in school tables, chair are made form wood, which is a source . the clothes that we ware this is made of cotton, wool, , silk etc. that is a source.
so my dear friend only the resource can only satisfy the human needs.

IN MY OPINION, meaning I haven't read the chapter from you econ. book or done any factual research, here are my thoughts. One, there is a difference between needs and wants. We need food, water, shelter to survive. We want...fill in the blank. Second, I  believe that if the resources cost money or aren't natural (like a beautiful lake where I can swim or catch fish for free), then we don't really need them. However, you asked about satisfaction, which is an emotional response that should make us feel better. Then, having the resources to, say paint your room purple because it's your favorite color, then the money to buy the paint and supplies, and the ability to paint the room yourself or pauy someone to do it, is a resource you need to be satisfied, therefore, the resource satisfied the want. I think!
