hi nasir,Rapid urbanization and industrialization leads to increased waste production that is hard to manage. With an increasing population, due to rapid urbanization, more waste are generated, and without effective waste disposal strategies, many of these wastes end up in river systems. This because water sources such as rivers are the ultimate destination of improperly disposed wastes. The same happens with rapid industrialization, where the wastes generated are ever on the rise and yet the means of their disposal and management do not grow with them.
When these waste are recklessly disposed in the environment, they eventually end up in river systems as they are washed off by rain waters.
