how do villi increase the surface area in small intestine plz explain.

djfab91: 2.it is used when the instine is getting conjusted by alot of food particles
djfab91: 3.it first observe alll the food sourounding him and store for some seconds
djfab91: 4. then it pass all the food that is observed to blood capalarries in which it is connected
djfab91: This way villi help in digestion.

villi is found in small intestine it is a finger like projection which has number of blood vessels these helps in the increase the surface area

The small intestine is folded into villi which has many microvilli.

The villi has a finger like structure and the microvilli acts as a hairlike on those fingers.

Both of them expand to increase the surface area so more nutrients can be absorbed.

They both are made up of a single layer of cells.
