There are Four (4) Basic Types of Animal Tissue:

Epithelial Tissue. Covers body surfaces and lines body cavities.

Connective Tissue. Binds and Supports body parts.

Muscular Tissue. Enables movement of structures within the body and movement of the entire person/animal.

Generally Animal Tissue is broadly classified into 4 types depending on it's function.

Here is the classification

  1. Connective tissue
  2. Epithelial tissue

1. Connective tissue :

This is tissue which connects all parts of the body to together internally and externally.

for example : tendon , ligament etc

2. Epithelial tissue:

This tissue helps our body to protect from external environment.

for example : cubic epithelial , cuboidal epithelial etc.

3. Muscular tissue:

This tissue helps in the movement of our body:

for example : bones etc. ( bones too made up of many cells).

4. Nervous tissue:

This tissue helps us to respond to stimuli in our body . This causes impulses in our body.

for example: neurones , nerve cell etc.
