People do not know how government works for two reasons. First, people are generally not taught much about how government actually operates. Second, part of the reason they are not taught about these things is that they are complicated and people either become bored with the explanations of details or teachers cannot convey them adequately to cement them into their students’ belief systems. If you want to know how government works you need to pay attention to news and other information and be critical about accepting information that other people often offer with their own agendas in mind.
