Exothermic reaction :- Reaction in which heat is produced with the formation of products are called exothermic reactions .

  Example:- CH4  +  O2   =      CO2  +  H2O  + Heat.

1)Respiration is a exothermic reaction because respiration involves breaking down of complex food materials into simple absorable form along with production of heat and energy. 2)Decomposition of waste organic matter into compose is also an example of exothermic reaction.

Endothermic reaction:- Reactions in which heat is absorbed is called endothermic reaction.

    Example:- Ca Co3   =            Cao  +  C02

ajay20: How do we know if it is endo or eco thermal reaction without telling us that it is giving out heat
ajay20: Exo or endo
TheRuhanikaDhawan: it is same\
cuteritu173: actually, in exothermic - heat is produced along with products but in endothermic- heat is absorbed
