particles of matter are continuously moving. Rate of movement of particles increases with temperature therefore the smell of lighted incense stick reach us several meters away

Brain

Agarbatti or incense sticks are things which on heating to a particular temperature give out some characteristic smell. This smell is observed by the nose and is then sent to brain through neurons and other nerves.

Once the information reaches the brain and the olfactory indicators and receptors present in the parietal lobe of brain sense the smell and give a response to this stimulus ( smell )
