How do we prepare NaOH form NaCl? when gas is liberated at cathode? which gas is liberated at anode

hey....here is ur ans.............

when Naoh is reacted with HCl (hydrochloric acid) .....nacl is formed.... ..... in this ....chlorine is liberated.as anode ......and hydrogen is produced by cathode ......along with nacl..........
