Hey Mate !

Answer:

When light hits the retina (a light-sensitive layer of tissue at the back of the eye), special cells called photoreceptors turn the light into electrical signals. These electrical signals travel from the retina through the optic nerve to the brain. Then the brain turns the signals into the images you see.

Think of your eye as a central processor of sorts. Light is bouncing around you all over the place in the form of light waves in the visible light spectrum. That light spectrum is made up of all the colors of light that our eyes can see (which is why it's called the “visible” light spectrum).

Or

Light reflects off of objects and enters the eyeball through a transparent layer of tissue at the front of the eye called the cornea. The cornea accepts widely divergent light rays and bends them through the pupil – the dark opening in the center of the colored portion of the eye.

Hope this helps you
