Stars do not really twinkle, they just appear to twinkle when seen from the surface of Earth. The stars twinkle in the night sky because of the effects of our atmosphere. When starlight enters our atmosphere it is affected by winds in the atmosphere and by areas with different temperatures and densities. This causes the light from the star to twinkle when seen from the ground.

Stars are one of the greatest interstellar objects to look upon, stars have their own characteristics life cycle, they have a energetic core, undergoing fusion reaction, fusing lower atomic mass elements into higher ones lastly iron. By doing this they release tremendous amount of energy in the soace, which then comes under the visible spectrum of light and we perceive it as light waves, they pulsate, which makes us to see them as twinkling, we call it luminous factor, so this is how they Twinkle..
