Hey there!!!
Cavour was the Cheif Minister of the Sardania Piedmont of the Italy. He was nethier a revolutionary nor a supporter of anyone. Like other educated members of Italy he spoke Franch better than he did Italian. He engineered an alliance in order to fight with the Austrian Empire. Finally they defeated Austrians and Austrian Emperor came into rule in Italy also.
Hope it helps!!! ND don't forget to mark my answer as Brainliest!!!

The unification of North Italy and South Italy was done by Garibaldi, Count Cavour and Victory Emmanuel II.

Count of Cavour was a tactful diplomat who defeated the Austrians and his friendly relations with France helped in the unification of Italy.

Critics argue that Cavour was just enjoying glory in the success of Garibaldi.
