How do you appreciate Faraday’s law, which is the consequence of conservation of energy?

when we are pushing the bar magnet towards the coil current is generated ,in other words electromagnetic induction, mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy.this is nothing but conservation of energy

Dear Student,

◆ Faraday's law -

  • Faraday's law of induction states that there is electromotive force on the conductive loop when the magnetic flux through the surface enclosed by the loop varies in time.
  • This law is consequence of conservation of energy.
  • The induced voltage in a circuit is proportional to the rate of change over time of the magnetic flux through that circuit.

EMF = -dΦ/dt

Applications of this phenomenon are -

  • transformers (step-up/step-down)
  • pickup coil of electric guitar
  • ground fualt interrupter
