Cells are the smallest unit of life. Cells have the ability to replicate independently and are commonly referred to as the building blocks of life. Cells are so small that they cannot be seen by our naked eyes rather using special equipment known as microscopes.  Multicellular organisms such as trees, elephants and men are made up of trillions upon trillions of these cells. A group of these cells form what is known as a tissue. A group of tissues form organs, the organs form an organ system and the organ system forms the complete multicellular organism that we see.
