How do you appreciate the working of ciliary muscles in the eye?

ciliary muscles in the eye is helpful in changing the size of lense i.e. change the focal length of lens according to the position of object.

● The ciliary muscles which attached with eye lens help to change the focal length of the eye lens.

●When the eye is focussed on a distant object, these are relaxed so the focal length of eye lens increases to its maximum value.

●The parallel rays coming into the eye are focussed on the retina then we can see the object clearly.

●When the eye is focused on a nearer object the muscles are strained so the focal length of eye-lens decreases.The ciliary muscles adjust the focal length and the image is formed on retina then we can see the object.
