The basic concept of a smart city is to use latest technologies in order to provide a more efficient city management system which improves the lives of it's citizens, provides easy planning and managing for the future and is most cost efficient as well.
There are many examples around the world.
A simple issue can be of traffic management where cameras can digital monitor the flow of traffic in different times and accordingly adjust traffic signals to improve the flow of traffic during rush hours.
Another example can of managing wastage, which can be collected through managed garbage collection and used to produce electricity
