Public displays of falconry referred to as “Meets” are exactly that, gatherings of practicing falconers for support, exchange of knowledge, fellowship and of course .. to show off their birds. However, Falconry's essence is in the bond between a trainer and a bird. An apprentice may have a mentor, but it still boils down to him to care and train his bird, to nurture the natural instincts of the raptor and instill trust and cooperation. It may take a village to raise a child, but training an essentialy wild bird to participate in a shared experience of a hunt, goes against a raptors normal tendency to exist in solitude..
No my friend, falconry is not a group event, only the demonstration of Falconry.
