The majority of moral maturity comes with age. However, because maturity encompasses so many aspects, a mature individual may sometimes engage in unethical activity.

Being judgmental is not moral, although a mature person may sometimes be judgmental. Human behavior will never be flawless, and it takes maturity to choose moral behavior over the alternative. Although moral maturity is often associated with maturity, it is not always associated with age. There are many mature and moral young people out there who know how to treat everyone with dignity and respect.
