we can write it as

x2-15x+50 = 0;

x2-5x-10x+50 = 0;

let x and 10 as common

x(x-5)-10(x-5) = 0;

(x-5) (x-10) = 0;

now equating both terms we get;

X = 5 and x = 10

Answer:

 -  {x}^{2} + 15x - 50 = 0 \\  ( - {x}^{2}  + 15x - 50 = 0) \times - 1 \\  =  {x}^{2}  - 15x + 50 = 0 \\  \\  {x}^{2}  - 15x + 50 = 0 \\  {x}^{2}  - 10x - 5x + 50 = 0 \\ x(x - 10) - 5(x - 10) = 0 \\ (x - 10)(x - 5) = 0 \\ x - 10 = 0 \:  \:  \: or \:  \:  \: x - 5 = 0 \\ x =  \underline{ \underline{ 10}} \:  \:  \: or \:  \:  \: x = \underline{ \underline{ 5}}
