How do you feel about yourself as a responsive citizen?
Answers
Answer -
Explanation:
We should all aspire to be good citizens of our country, and of the world.
The concept of citizenship was born in the city-states of Ancient Greece; specifically, in Athens. Greek education at the time was designed to instruct citizens in the values, intellectual frameworks, and habits-of-mind required to be free men. That is, to actively participate in the political system that shaped their lives and guaranteed their freedoms.
Today, being a citizen means that you’re part of a group, and that you have legal and political rights within that group. It brings with it both privileges and obligations. I would argue that we each have a duty, or an obligation, to be good citizens. After all, a nation is only as healthy as its individual citizens.
I feel I am a responsive citizen.
'Responsive' refers to the ability to respond to situations, guidelines and instructions.
When the entire nation went into a lockdown, each one of us had to be responsive and behave according to the guidelines issued by the government at that time. Even then I was a responsive citizen and have continued to be so.
Nowadays I am always on the lookout for any leaking taps or overflowing overhead water tanks. If I spot any water wastage, I report it immediately, so that the nation’s precious resources can be preserved. Similarly, I tell our domestic helpers about visiting the government health dispensary to get supplements like calcium, free of cost.
Given how I try my best to help the government officials spread awareness, I feel that I am a responsive citizen who does not wait for someone else to take the necessary steps.
